Account Deletion

The Morning Club provides two ways for members to request full deletion of their account and associated personal data: directly within the app (preferred, takes effect immediately) or by emailing our team (for members who no longer have access to the app). Both methods comply with Apple App Store Guideline 5.1.1(v) and Google Play’s account-deletion policy. All deletion requests are processed within 30 days.

1. In-app deletion (preferred)

This is the fastest method. Your account is queued for deletion the moment you confirm, with no need to contact our team.

  1. Open The Morning Club app.
  2. Sign in if you are not already signed in.
  3. Tap the Profile tab (bottom-right corner of the screen).
  4. Scroll to the very bottom of your profile page.
  5. Tap “Delete My Account”.
  6. Confirm your choice in the dialog that appears.

Your account and all associated personal data will be permanently deleted within 30 days. Most data is removed within minutes; the 30-day window allows for backup-rotation purges to complete.

2. Email request (no app access required)

If you no longer have access to the app, send an email to:

  • To: hello@themorningclub.ae
  • Subject: Account deletion request
  • Body: Include the email address you used to register with The Morning Club, and a brief confirmation that you wish your account to be permanently deleted.

We will acknowledge your request within 5 business days and complete the deletion within 30 days of receipt.

3. What gets deleted

When your deletion request is processed, the following data is permanently removed from our systems:

  • Your profile — name, email address, phone number, member-since date, and role
  • Your complete booking history, including past and upcoming class bookings
  • Active class packages and any remaining session credits
  • Payment records held on our servers (note: Stripe retains its own transaction records — see below)
  • Your health disclaimer signature and consent record
  • Device push tokens and active session identifiers
  • Your authentication account (the underlying record in our identity system)

4. What is retained and why

A limited subset of data must be retained for legal or operational reasons, as explained below:

  • Stripe transaction records— Payment transaction records are held by Stripe under their own global retention policy (typically 7 years) to meet tax and regulatory obligations. The Morning Club does not store card numbers or full transaction details on our own servers; these records exist solely within Stripe’s platform.
  • Anonymised aggregate analytics— We may retain non-identifiable, aggregated data (such as total class attendance counts) for internal business reporting. This data contains no personally identifiable information and cannot be used to identify you.
  • Class attendance records in anonymised form — The studio’s own operational books may retain anonymised attendance figures for scheduling and capacity planning. No name or contact detail is retained in this form.

5. Deletion timeline

Deletion is initiated immediately upon confirmation (in-app) or within 5 business days (email request). The vast majority of personal data is removed from our live systems within minutes. The 30-day window exists to allow backup-rotation purges to complete — any backup snapshots containing your data are fully purged within 30 days of the deletion trigger. After that window closes, no personally identifiable record of your account remains on The Morning Club’s infrastructure.
